By train
Hotel Corona d’Italia is approximately 200 meters away from the Santa Maria Novella central train station; all other train stations around the city, Firenze Rifredi and Firenze Campo Marte, may be reached by taking the city bus.
By plane
The Florence’ international airport is 7 km away. To reach the hotel, take a private taxi or the ‘Vola in Bus’ direct service, which offers a 20-minute ride to the Santa Maria Novella train station, located only 200 meters away from the hotel.
By car
From Rome, take highway A1, exit at the ‘Firenze Sud’ toll booth; follow signs marked “centro,” merge onto the Lungarno (along the river) access road and, after 2 km, make a right onto via Giovanni Amendola and go up the road to Piazza Beccaria; continue along Viale Antonio Gramsci and Viale Giacomo Matteotti until Piazza della Libertà. From there, take Via Lorenzo il Magnifico, make a left at the first traffic light, across Viale Spartaco Lavagnini and onto Via Santa Caterina d’Alessandria. Continue on and merge onto via Nazionale. Hotel Corona d’Italia will be on your left, at street number 14.
From Milan, take highway A1, exit at Firenze Nord and follow signs marked “centro.””Follow Viale Francesco Redi to the end, then make a left onto via Guido Monaco, follow it to the end of the road, where you will make a left onto Fratelli Rosselli; past the railway overpass, follow Viali di Circonvallazione – you will see the Fortezza da Basso on your left- and take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini. At the first traffic light, make a right onto Via Santa Caterina d’Alessandria, continue merging onto via Nazionale, where you will find Hotel Corona d’Italia at street number 14.
Parking
The hotel, easily reachable by car, provides its guests with a reserved area to load/unload luggage upon arrival. The Hotel Corona d’Italia has partnered up with several garages close by, which offer valet parking: a driver from the garage will pick up your car directly from the hotel and drop it off at the time of check-out, or anytime the guest desires.
